Tatjana Mihhailova, nickname Tanja, is an Estonian pop singer and actress. Tanja was born June 19, 1983 in Kaliningrad (Russia) but from very young she lives in Estonia. Tanja has been in different bands in her professional career and has realized numerous musicals and different shows and gigs.[citation needed]

Musical career

Her beginnings as singer were from very early life when Tanja was participating in numbers contests and song festivals in Estonia, Russia and Ukraine. In 1998 won the contest "Utrennaja zvezda" in Jurmala (Latvia) and 2002 she took part of "Fizz superstar 2002" Baltic singing competition.[1]

Nightlight duo

With the Estonian producer Sven Lõhmus and together to Estonian singer Ly Lumiste, the girls formed the techno duo band "Nightlight duo" in 2001. The band released two albums. "Jäljed liival" -Traces in the sand- was the first album. "Miks ma ei suuda su maailma muuta" -Why I can't change your world.[2] This album won the award for the best album of the year "Aasta Uustulnuk 2002".[3]

Eurolaul

In these important moments for the band, them they informed two times in the Eurolaul (Estonian selection for the Eurovision song contest). In 2002 with the song "Another country song" came second[4] and a year later they tried again with the song "I can b the 1" came fourth.[5] Both songs produced and written by Sven Lõhmus. The duo finished in 2004 for the pregnancy of Ly and Tanja continued with her muusical career.[citation needed]

Jz Belle

With the producer and composer Timo Vendt, Tanja created the band "Jz Belle" in 2005. The first album is called as the band and have classic dance songs covered from the seventies.[6] Her second album contained all original songs written and composed by her, Timo Vendt and Mihkel Mattisen. "Sind Ikka Ootan" -Still waiting for you- and "Sind nii kaua pole olnud siin" -You haven't been here so long-. In this period Tanja intervened in one of the first musical ones of great success "Fame" in 2006 and released in 2007 solo songs in English under the name Tanja M "Sunday" and "Destination".[citation needed]

Another bands and shows

Finished Jz Belle project, Tanja also starred in the band "Sunday Mood" with Timo Vendt and the Canadian guitarist Alex Pier Federici where they released the album in English "Something more" in 2009 with great success in the Baltic countries. In this period Tanja realized the show "Queen - The doors of Time" in Vaneimune's theatre in Tartu with the Broadway's artist Tony Vincent and the Estonian singer Rolf Roosalu.[7]

Her participation in Estonian television contests (TV3) in 2011 "Laulud Tähtedega" -Estonian version of Just the two of us-, obtaining second place and in "Laulupealinn" in November 2011, obtaining second place too.[8][9]

Her numerous musicals and shows for whole Estonia: "Tribute to Beyoncé", "Tribute to Madonna", "Thank you for the music -tribute to ABBA" and her performs in swing band "Swingers".
