Tatiana Matveeva, nicknamed Tata (Georgian: ტატიანა მატვეევა, born 25 July 1990), is a Georgian women's football striker currently playing in the Turkish First League for Konak Belediyespor with jersey number 22.[1][2] She is a member of the Georgian national team since 2006.
Playing career
Club
She began her career in Iveria Khashuri before moving to Turkey to play for Trabzonspor.[3] She took part at the 2009–10 UEFA Women's Champions League - Group D matches.
When the team folded in 2011, she moved to Ataşehir Belediyespor. Enjoyed her second championship at the end of the 2011–12 season, she played at the 2012–13 UEFA Women's Champions League - Group 1 matches until her team's elimination.[4] She scored two goals in three games.[5]
In the beginning of the 2013–14 season's second half, she was transferred by the Izmir-based Konak Belediyespor.[2][6]
International
Tatiana Matveeva is a member of the Georgian national team.[4] She played at the UEFA Women's Euro 2013 qualifying round's three matches as the captain of the national team.[7] At the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification (UEFA) - Group 2 matches, she aptained again capping three times and scoring one goal.[8][9][10]
