Tatiana Issa (São Paulo, January 16, 1974) is an award winning Brazilian actress and director. She's the co-founder of TRIA Productions [1] as well as Producing Partners,[2] a development and production company resulting from the association of two established New York-based production companies, TRIA and Planet Pop.
Background
Issa was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil to a set designer. She began acting at the age of seven, doing several professional plays and international theater festivals. At age twelve, she began acting in motion pictures and later attended the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York. In 2009 she produced and directed the film Dzi Croquettes,[3] for which she received more than 25 international awards, making it the most awarded documentary in Brazilian history. Tatiana Issa is currently the Director and Executive Producer of the weekly television series "Gaby Gringa" [4] at BIS Network, "Alem da Conta/Shopping Frenzy" at GNT Network, "Broadway Dreams" [5] and “Dances of the World” [6] for the Globosat Network/Multishow. Tatiana is also the Executive Producer of the TV series "Beyond Ipanema" [7] at Canal Brasil Network/Globosat, now on its second season.

Reception for Issa's work has been positive,[8][9] with Dzi Croquettes being her most famous work.[10] Dzi Croquettes has received praise from multiple news outlets such as the New York Times and Film Journal International.[11][12][13]
