Taro Daniel (born 27 January 1993) is an American-born Japanese professional tennis player.
As a qualifier in his first ATP tournament, he has made the quarterfinals of the 2014 Royal Guard Open in Viña del Mar, Chile, after wins over Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci and Argentine Federico Delbonis. Previously, he had won a couple of Futures events and made the semifinals or finals of some Challenger Circuit events.
Daniel trains in Valencia, Spain with coach José Altur and loves clay courts.
Personal life
His father, Paul Daniel, is an American, and his mother, Yasue, Japanese. He grew up in various places in the world. He speaks English, Japanese, and Spanish. He has one sister, Kana.
