Tara Hitchcock

Tara Hitchcock (born 1971) is an American journalist and news anchor.

She was born in Pennsylvania, the eldest of four daughters. Her family lived in Massachusetts and New Jersey. In 1981, they settled in Plano, Texas, near Dallas. Her parents still live in Plano.

Tara attended Boston College and holds a BA in political science and communications. She received a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

She held assignments as news anchor, host, and assignment journalist for local TV stations in Texas. She hosted 3TV's flagship morning show Good Morning! Arizona on Channel 3, KTVK, in Phoenix from 1997 through September 27, 2011.

Tara Hitchcock lived in the Phoenix suburb of Ahwatukee Foothills, prior to her marriage to Kenn Francis. Hitchcock now resides in Scottsdale with Francis and his children from a previous relationship.

On October 31, 2013 she started a Thursday morning segment on KPHO's CBS 5 News at 6AM called "Tara's Reel Travels" where she interviews cast members of an upcoming movie.
