The Takhar University (Persian: دانشگاه تخار; TU) was originally established with the name Abdullah bin Msoud by Burhanuddin Rabbani, outside of Afghanistan. It officially registered within the Ministry of Education's registry in 1994.[1] As of May 2010, the university had 1572 students (1406 male and 166 female) and 47 teachers (42 male and 5 female).
