Taitung Station (Chinese: 台東車站; pinyin: Táidōng Chēzhàn) is a railway station of Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA). It lies at the junction of the Hualien-Taitung Line and the South-Link Line in Taitung City, Taitung County, Taiwan.
Structure
There are three island platforms.
Service
All service classes of the TRA except the Taroko Express and the Puyuma Express. This is because those two classes exclusively use electric trains though the Hualien-Taitung Line is not yet completely electrified. The TRA aims to complete electrification and extend Puyuma service to Taitung Station from the north by the end of 2013.[1]
