Tainan metropolitan area (yellow).
According to the definition of metropolitan areas formerly used by the Republic of China government in Taiwan, Tainan metropolitan area (臺南都會區) includes the following areas:

However, since the merger of Tainan City and the former Tainan County, the Republic of China government has abolished the definition as obsolete.[1]
