The Tainan City Government (Chinese: 臺南市政府) is the top-tier local government administrative body of R.O.C.(Taiwan) from December 2010. It consists of a directly elected executive Mayor of Tainan .It replaced the earlier Tainan County Government and Tainan City Government which had covered a much bigger area and governed more citizens .

The mayor of Tainan City is the chief executive officer of the city. He/she is elected for a four-year term and limited to serving no more than two terms. Under the mayor there are 2 deputy mayors, 1 secretary-general, 1 deputy secretary-general and 27 principal officers. [1]
