- Town of Taillet is a small village of consisting of estimated populous of 83. Located at the southern eastern most end tip of the Country of France. The town is at the foot of the North East end of the Pyrenees Mountains, it almost borders the tip of Spain Northern, near the Mediterranean Sea. It mostly has lush forestland, some grazing land for animals and croplands. There is a quaint hotel there for travelers.
- In 1995 a vineyard called Merify in Northern France started to produce a wonderful French champagne called, " Chartogne Taillet" It has been an award winner in most wine professional(Champagne)charts since this time and is still being requested around the world and produced semi-annually.
- The Meaning of Taillet' was discovered in a 1700's Naval French to English Dictionary. It is a Naval Blacksmiths' term. The part of the tool on the Blacksmiths hammer or anvil to cut off the hot metal, as it being forged. Its main purpose is to "Hack Iron" off of Naval Ships Anchors. Taille' is also still used: widely used in France to define, prune or cut. The Word is also sometimes used for the sharp end of objects like swords, knives, scissors, and even bows of ships, or even to cut through the water.
- The Book reference of the meaning of "Taillet" comes from the book: "A Naval and Military Technical Dictionary of the French Language" found at Harvard College. Authored by, Lieut. Robert Burn in Jan. 1852. Copied from the Gunners Glasse' of French Naval terms, that was interpreted in 1646.
Taillet (Catalan: Tellet) is a commune in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in southern France.
