Tafraout, also spelled Tafrawt or Tafraoute, is a town in Tiznit Province, Souss-Massa-Drâa, Morocco. It is located in the Anti-Atlas mountains in southern Morocco. According to the 2004 census it has a population of 4,931.[1]
Tiznit is 78 km south of Agadir, connected by a major road. The roads to Tafraoute however are difficult to traverse - narrow, snakelike, and mountainous. It takes about an hour to reach Tiznit, where a left turn leads towards Tafraoute 107 km away.[citation needed]
