Tactel

Tactel can mean:

  • Tactel (short for tactile element) - a single sensing point on a tactile sensor array. A tactel is equivalent to a pixel, in that an array of tactels represents an image of the surface being touched.
  • Tactel - a trademarked brand of synthetic fiber first introduced in 1983, and is produced by Invista. It is a type of Nylon, which is light-weight, soft, can be recycled into plastic, and dries very quickly-8 times quicker than cotton. Marks and Spencers is one example of a popular fashion designer that regularly uses Tactel in their products.[1]
