Table of precedence of Sabah

The table of precedence of Sabah is a hierarchy of important positions within the Government of Sabah, Malaysia. It has no legal standing but is usable to dictate ceremonial protocol.

The Sabah Chief Minister's Department issued a Table of Precedence for the State of Sabah on August 1, 1996.[1]

Table of precedence

The order was gazetted[2] on August 1, 1996, but the order revised from time to time.

Remarks

  • Diplomatic members take their precedence according to their diplomatic ranks.
  • Permanent Secretaries and Municipal Presidents take their precedence according to their post seniorities and date of appointment to the office.
  • The spouses take their precedence after his husband/wife.
