TVR Iaşi is one of the six regional stations of TVR - the Romanian National Television Station. Its headquarters are in Iaşi. TVR Iaşi programmes are broadcast in the Moldova Region of Romania, covering all eight departments in the north-eastern part of the country. The station broadcasts daily as a regional station, from 06.30 until 23.00, and, at the same time, produces programmes for the national (TVR 1, TVR2, TVR3, TVR Cultural) and international Romanian public channels. It first broadcast in 1991.

Many of the important names in the Romanian media starting as members of their staff. In 1992, the station joined CIRCOM Regional (the European Association of Regional Television Stations), and, after a year, hosted the first ever organized CIRCOM Conference in a Central and East-European country.
