Tōna Station

Tōna Station (東名駅 Tōna-eki) is a JR East railway station located in Higashi-Matsushima, Miyagi, Japan.

Line

As of September 1, 2011, the operation of the Senseki Line between Takagimachi Station and Yamoto Station is suspended due to the damage from the tsunami on March 11, 2011. Substitution bus services are available.[1]

History

  • December 1, 1931: Station begins operation.
  • March 11, 2011: Tsunami suspends operation of the station.
