Těškov is a village and municipality (obec) in Rokycany District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic. It lies in basin, under "Radeč" massive, that is part of "Křivoklát highlands". The first written record about the village dates back to 1343.

The municipality covers an area of 14.17 square kilometres (5.47 sq mi), and has a population of 295 (as at 12 June 2006). Těškov lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) north-east of Rokycany, 25 km (16 mi) east of Plzeň, and 61 km (38 mi) south-west of Prague.

Climate

Těškov lies between oceanic climate and humid continental climate (Köppen Cfb). The winters are relatively cold with average temperatures at about freezing point, and with very little sunshine. Snow cover can be common between mid-November to late March. Summers usually bring plenty of sunshine and the average high temperature of 24 °C (75 °F). Nights can be quite cool even in summer, though. The driest season is usually winter while the summers can bring quite heavy rain especially in form of violent storms and showers.

Sports

Těškov is home to football club FC Těškov. Club was founded in 1972 by Jan Lisý Sr., František Škrdlant, Jaroslav Tůma Sr., Jiří Jedlička Sr. and Antonín Veverka.
