Symphonic Anime Orchestra

The Symphonic Anime Orchestra is an amateur symphony orchestra based out of Denver, Colorado, directed by Kathryn Vedder, performing orchestral settings of music pertaining to Japanese anime. Founded in 2005, the orchestra has performed at the Nan Desu Kan anime convention 2005, 2006 and 2007.

SAO tours anime conventions around the western United States, with the group's quartet, which performed at the premier of Wasabi Con in Denver both in 2008 and 2009. In July 2010, the quartet travelled to Dallas, Texas to perform at A-Kon and assembled and performed in an orchestra composed of local musicians and veteran Symphonic Anime Orchestra members.
