Symons Valley is the residential area in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada that comprises numerous neighbourhoods. It is bounded by the city's boundary with Rocky View County to the north, Stoney Trail to the south, and Sarcee Trail to the west. It is bisected by Symons Valley Road, which becomes Highway 772.
It is represented in the Calgary City Council by Ward 2 and 3 Alderman Gord Lowe and Helen Larocque.[1]

In 2006 the neighbourhood had a population of 3,598.[2]
Symons Valley Ranch
Symons Valley Ranch was established in 1968. The upcycled log chalets and village include a bustling year round farm store, farmer's market, village shops, edible garden, rv park, and cafes. The operations are open in stages throughout the week. The Farm Store hosts a butcher shop, large produce vendor, bakery and meals to go. It is open Wednesday through Friday from 10a-7p; Weekends 10a-5p.
The Farmer's Markets is home to the top 30 market vendors in Calgary including Sunworks Farm, Simple Simon Pies, Spragg's Natural Pork, Rustic Sourdough Bakery, Prairie Farms, Phil & Sebastian Coffee Roaster, Sichani's Mediterranean Food, Greens Eggs and Ham, Sylvan Star Cheese, Papa Chocolat, Helado Gelato, Buzz Honey, Munich German Sausage House, Dessert Designs Bakery, Pure Raw Nature, Latin Roots Food, Sabores Mexican Food, Spicey Jamakin BBQ, Blue Door Oils & Vinegards, Glassware Creations by Laurie, Herbal Healing, Berit Havre Designs, A Little Taste of Country, Eden Essentials, Hearts Choices, Tim's Gourmet Pizza, The Cucumber Man, Bell Wood Products, Crystals of Atlantis, Souto Family Orchards (Seasonal).
Children can enjoy an active play area, aviary with Peacocks, ducks and guinea fowl, pet adoption centre and the square foot gardens.
The facility is often rented to community groups.
Over the years, Symons Valley Ranch hosted many types of special events including the Canadian Rockies International Rodeo, Canada's only gay & lesbian rodeo. This annual event was hosted by ARGRA, the Alberta Rockies Gay Rodeo Association, and attracted 4,000 participants from the Calgary region and across North America. The rodeo was a member of the International Gay Rodeo Association (IGRA).
Over 2,000,000 people have attended a special event, wedding, Christmas Party, Grey Cup Party, market, craft show or corporate social evening at Symons Valley Ranch.
