Syed Nabiullah

Syed Nabiullah, سيد نبي الله , was a prominent Barrister and politician of Lucknow, United Province, India.

Syed Nabiullah was born in Kara/Manikpur village in the District of Allahabad.[1] He passed his BA from Allahabad and went to England where he became a barrister at law at Lincoln's Inn. His brother was Syed Habibullah. Both of the brothers were active in the politics of United Province. Syed Nabiullah was involved in the All India Muslim League from its inception. He was one of the 35 delegates, of the deputation who went to Simla on October 1, 1906 to meet Lord Minto. Which later resulted in formation of All India Muslim League in December 30, 1906. He served as President of All India Muslim league 1911 for two years.

He served as the chairman of the Lucknow Municipal Board from 1916 to 1923. A road in Lucknow is named Nabiullah Road after him.

He was related to Syed Zahur Ahmad of Lucknow. Syed Nabiullah's sister Fatima Bibi was married to Syed Zahur Ahmad. He had a son Syed Waliullah and a daughter Jannat Bibi.

He died in 1925.
