- Not to be confused with Division 1 (Swedish ice hockey), which is the third-tier league in Sweden.
Swedish Division I was the top level ice hockey league in Sweden from 1944–1975. It was replaced by the Elitserien for the 1975–76 season. The league was divided into North and South divisions, with the top teams from each division meeting in a tournament to decide the league champion.
