Stockholm-Arlanda Airport is operated by Swedavia.

Swedavia AB is a Swedish nationally owned company, which owns and operates the major airports of Sweden.[1] It has its head office on the grounds of Stockholm-Arlanda Airport, Sigtuna Municipality, near Stockholm.[2]

It was formed on 1 April 2010, when the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration was split up, and all commercial airport operation was transferred to the new Swedavia company. Air navigation services continues as a state enterprise under the name LFV (Civil Aviation Administration). In 2010, the number of employees was about 2,600.[1]

Airports

As of May 2011, Swedavia owns 11 airports in Sweden:[3][4]

Region Värmland took over the operations of Karlstad Airport in 2010.[5] In 2011, the operations for Ängelholm-Helsingborg Airport was transferred to Region Skåne Nordväst[6] and Örnsköldsvik Airport was transferred to Örnsköldsvik Municipality.[7] Jönköping Airport and Skellefteå Airport were transferred to local ownership before Swedavia was formed.
