Swasika is an Indian film actress, who mainly works in Tamil and Malayalam films. She has made her debut in the 2009 Tamil film, Vaigai. In most of Tamil films, she has essayed the role of a "village belle".[3]

Career

Her first film was Sundarapandi's Vaigai, a touching love story, Her character was based on a real life individual.[4] She then did Goripalayam by Rasu Madhuravan, in which she played the second lead. She was still a student, when she acted in the film.[5] Her third film Maithanam got positive reviews from both the critics and the audience.[6] She played a village girl, who "values culture and tradition" in the film.[7] In her next venture, Kandadhum Kaanadhadum by director Seelan, she played a "city-bred college girl".[8] She made her Malayalam debut with Cinema Company and was the lead actress in Sajeevan Anthikkad's Prabhuvinte Makkal.[9]
