Swaarangi (the melting embers Urdu: سوارنگی) is an upcoming Lollywood film directed by Phida Hussain. The film is an international co-production between Australia and Pakistan, produced by Phida Hussain,[1] Mazhar Abbas and Summer Nicks under the banner of Flipping Images Productions, Phida Hussain Productions and Xeitgeist Entertainment Group. The film stars Resham, Ayub Khosa, Naveed Akbar, Waseem Manzoor,Zulfiqar Gullshahi, Aftab Nisar, Hamza Mushtaq, Shahzaib Johar. The music of the film is composed by Sanwal Esakhelvi, Sami Khan and Waseem Manzoor. The film is set to release in 2014.

Plot

Salma (Resham) embarks on a perilous journey across Northern Pakistan in search of her two sons after they are sold by her drug addicted husband Jamal (Naveed Akbar)to work as heroin smugglers on the notorious Pak-Afghan border.[2]
