Suzak is a village in Jalal-Abad Province, Kyrgyzstan. It is the capital of Suzak District. (There is another Suzak or Suzak-Aul in Uzbekistan south of Jalal-Abad city, Kyrgyzstan).

History

First mentioning of Suzak village known from a map of Eugene Schuyler "Map of the Khanates of Bukhara, Khiva, and Khokand and Part of Russian Turkestan" of 1875. http://www.wdl.org/ru/item/7322/

In 1998 catastrophic flood of Kugart river destroyed around 1 000 dwellings in Suzak.
