Suva Grammar School (or SGS) is a secondary school in Suva, Fiji. The school caters 6 streams for Forms 3 to 6 and 3 streams for Form 7. Suva Grammar has a school population of more than 1000 students. The school is in a location near the heart of the city and by the seaside. They are known to be very competitive in sports against their rivals school Marist Brothers High School. S.G.S had an excellent reputation academically when it first begun right up till the early 90s.
History
In 2004 the school, in cooperation with police, launched a pilot "Scholastic Crime Stoppers" programme targeting drugs use, truancy and other problems.[1][2]
In 2008, members of the Suva Grammar Old Students Association made a request to the Fijian Minister for Education for school principal Ilikimi Kunagogo to be removed. [3]
Sport
Suva Grammar has won the coveted prize of school boys' rugby, the Deans Trophy on one occasion and played to a draw with Ratu Kadavulevu School in 2005. SGS is the reigning athletics Coca Cola Games champions in the boys division of the Fiji Secondary School's athletics championships, having successfully defended their title in 2010.
In 2011 Suva Grammar School won the Cokes, the fifth year win a row but then lost it in 2012 to Marist Brother's High School.

- Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase - returned to the school in March, 2006 to launch the Suva Declaration on Education.[4]

- Makelesi Bulikiobo - won the 200m event at the 2007 South Pacific Games.[6]
- Anthony Wise - Suva, Lautoka Rep, also a Flying Fijian,
- Sakiusa Matadigo - Suva, also a Flying Fijian,
- Wame Lewaravu - Suva, Sale Sharks also a Flying Fijian,
- Anthony, Sakiusa and Wame - played for the winning Deans Trophy teams back in 2001 against Ratu Kadavulevu School
- Akapusi Qera - Nadroga, Gloucester Flying Fijian,
- Ilikena Bolakoro - played 2 caps for the Flying Fijians,
- Nikola Matawalu - Fiji 7's rep also a Flying Fijian,
- Tikiko Uluiviti - Police, Sukuna Bowl, Fiji Warriors,
- Niko Verekauta.
