Sutrapur (Bengali: সুত্রাপুর) is a Thana of Dhaka District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Geography
Sutrapur is located at 23°42′00″N 90°25′15″E / 23.7000°N 90.4208°E . It has 49,286 households and total area 4.38 km².
Demographics
As of 1991 Bangladesh census, Sutrapur has a population of 307,483. Males constitute 57.33% of the population, and females 42.67%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 186,619. Sutrapur has an average literacy rate of 63.3% (7+ years),twice as high as the national average of 32.4% literate.
