Susie Mathis (born Susanne Mathis, 4 April 1947, South London) is a former singer, actress and radio presenter who, in later years, became a fundraiser for cancer charities in North West England.

Mathis first appeared in the West End at the age of fifteen, but came to fame in the late 1960s as the lead singer, with the stage name 'Tiger', of the Paper Dolls who reached number 4 in the UK Singles Chart with "Something Here in My Heart (Keeps A-Tellin' Me No)". Further chart success eluded the group and they split up in the early 1975. Mathis released a solo single under the name 'Tiger Sue' in 1978 and was the vocal coach for the St Winifred's School Choir Christmas number one in 1980, "There's No-one Quite Like Grandma".

Around this time Mathis joined the local Manchester independent radio station, Piccadilly Radio, and in 1981 became the first female daytime presenter on independent radio. She later joined BBC Radio Manchester, and twice won the Sony Radio Personality of the Year Award.

Mathis has also been at the forefront of fundraising for Francis House, a cancer hospice in Manchester. Mathis herself was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. As part of the fundraising effort the Paper Dolls reformed for a one off concert in Bradford in March 2008.[1]
