Susannah Fielding (born 10 June 1985) is an English actress.

Early life

Fielding grew up in and around Hampshire, England, also spending a period living in Granada, Spain.[citation needed] She studied for her A Levels at Christ's Hospital Boarding School in West Sussex, England.[citation needed]

Career

Fielding trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 2007,[1] where she appeared in productions of The Tempest (directed by Patsy Rodenburg) and Tales From Ovid (directed by Christian Burgess).

Theatre

Fielding's work in theatre includes: Much Ado About Nothing,[2] Philistines,[3] The Rose Tattoo[4] and The Hour We Knew Nothing Of Each Other[5] at the National Theatre, London. She was nominated for an Ian Charleson Award for her role as Pietra in Ibsens an 'An Enemy of the People' at the Sheffield Crucible in 2010 alongside Anthony Sher. In 2011 she plays Portia in Rupert Goold's production of the Merchant of Venice for the RSC alongside Sir Patrick Stewart. In 2012, she was cast as Kim for the UK run of All New People, a black humor comedy-drama play written by and starring Zach Braff. The plays UK run includes Manchester and Glasgow before culminating in a 10-week run in London's West End theatre district. Fielding will play the role of Evelyn Williams[6] in the new musical American Psycho at London's Almeida Theatre in December 2013.[7]

Television

In 2008 she appeared in Firewall, the second episode of the BBC TV series Wallander.[8] 2009 saw Fielding as a guest on The Bill, playing Rochelle Chapman. In 2010 she appeared in the Doctor Who episode "Victory of the Daleks", as well as an episode of Midsomer Murders and Comedy Lab. She played Chloe in the Channel4 sitcom Pete versus Life.

Film

She has recently appeared in 4.3.2.1 ... The Countdown Begins as Jas, the girlfriend of Kerrys, one of the main characters in the movie, played by Shanika Warren-Marland and has completed work on Cosi, due for release next year. She has recently finished filming The Knot a romantic comedy alongside Mena Suvari and Noel Clarke.
