Surizai Bala

Surizai Bala is a village and Union Council in Peshawar District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.[1]

Culture and Origin

The Pashtuns of this village speak the Pashto language and practice Pashtunwali, which is a traditional code of conduct and honour. This society consists of many tribes and clans which were rarely politically united. It is said that Sher Shah Suri on his way to Delhi some how 1540 left some of his family members here, due to which the name of this village became Surizai, its descendants claims that they are from Suri clan of Pashtus.major mohallas are Hassan khel,khan khel Botta khel, shato khel, Hashim khel, Majeed khel.
