Surbiton High School is a private school in Surbiton in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Greater London, England. It was founded in 1884 by a group of Anglican clergymen who instituted the Church Schools Company.[1] Its objective was "to establish superior education for girls in accordance with the principles of the Church of England" wherever the need was felt.

It is the founding member school of the Church Schools Company, now the United Church Schools Trust[2] It has 5 sites in Surbiton; the boys school, the junior school, main school, assembly rooms and the sixth form centre, as well as a sports ground at Hinchley Wood.

The current principal of Surbiton High School is Ann Haydon, the deputy principals are: Ian Smith, Silas Edmunds and Helen Morgan. Surbiton High School takes female students from 4 years old to 18 years old (there is also a Boys' Prep School).

In March 2009 the school celebrated 125 years of educating thousands of students.

The Good Schools Guide called the school a "friendly place with good pastoral care," adding "the school values less academic girls as much as high fliers."[3]

Recent years have seen the development of Surbiton Assembly Halls which gave the school ten new classrooms, including specialist music workshops and a large hall for concerts and theatrical productions. In the main building there is an additional science laboratory and a new ICT suite with full multi-media capability and internet access across the network. The playing fields at Hinchley Wood include an all-weather hockey pitch, tennis and netball courts, an athletics track and a refurbished and extended pavilion [4]
