The Pink Panther dreams of becoming a superhero after reading an issue of Super Guy Comics. After stealing clothes off a clothesline to create his costume, he makes several failed attempts to assist an elderly lady in need.

When Super Pink was first broadcast on NBC-TV in 1969, the scene featuring the Pink Panther being blasted in the face with a gun (resulting in blackface) was changed to toy water pistol splashing his face. The network also added a laugh track, which was muted when syndicated in 1982. However, the 2006 DVD release The Pink Panther Classic Cartoon Collection the version with laugh track intact.[1]
