SuperShuttle or “Blue Van” service is a door-to-door, shared ride airport shuttle service. The shared-ride service groups customers together with other customers going the same direction,[2] which reduces emissions and the number of total cars on the road. SuperShuttle services are primarily provided by Franchise Owner Operators via a franchising agreement. Operations began in 1983 in Los Angeles, Calif. in anticipation of a rise in tourist demand during the 1984 Summer Olympics. Currently, SuperShuttle serves 33 cities and 35 United States Airports, as well as airports in France, Mexico, and the United Kingdom, and transports over 8 million customers annually.

ExecuCar service is a private ground transportation service. The fleet consists of over 500 luxury vehicles, serving 53 airports and 43 major cities in the United States.[3] Services are primarily provided by vehicles independently owned and operated by Independent Contractors through private contract.
