SuperClash

SuperClash was a wrestling event promoted by the American Wrestling Association. This was often viewed as AWA's flagship supercard.

The 1985 event was held at Comiskey Park in Chicago, Illinois on September 28, 1985.

• Steve Regal defeated Brad Rheingans to retain the AWA Light Heavyweight Championship
• Little Tokyo defeated Little Mr. T to retain the NWA World Midget's Championship
• Sherri Martel defeated Candy Divine to win the AWA World Women's Championship
• Mil Máscaras defeated Buddy Roberts to retain the IWA Heavyweight Championship
• Jumbo Tsuruta, Giant Baba, & Genichiro Tenryu defeated Harley Race, Bill Irwin & Scott Irwin
• Kerry Von Erich defeated Jimmy Garvin to retain the WCCW Texas Championship
• Krusher Khruschev, Ivan Koloff and Nikita Koloff defeated Crusher, Dick the Bruiser and Baron Von Raschke to retain the NWA World Six-Man Tag Team Championship
• Sgt. Slaughter defeated Boris Zukhov by disqualification to retain the AWA America's Championship
• Jerry Blackwell defeated Kamala in a $10,000 "bodyslam" match
• Greg Gagne, Scott Hall and Curt Hennig defeated Ray Stevens, Nick Bockwinkel and Larry Zbyszko
• The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal w/Paul Ellering) defeated The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes & Terry Gordy w/Buddy Roberts) via disqualification to retain the AWA World Tag Team Championship. The Fabulous Freebirds had actually won by pinfall, due to illegal interference by Michael Hayes; however Verne Gagne intervened and, by virtue of instant replay, gave back the victory and the belts to the Road Warriors
• Rick Martel fought Stan Hansen to a double disqualification to retain the AWA World Heavyweight Championship
• Ric Flair defeated Magnum T.A. to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship

• This card was one of the co-promotional efforts by the NWA, WCCW, and AWA to attempt to compete with the WWF's increasing national popularity. Their jointly promoted venture was known as Pro Wrestling USA.

SuperClash 2

SuperClash 2 was held at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California on May 2, 1987.

• Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissy pinned Buck Zumhofe
• DJ Peterson fought Super Ninja to a draw
• Sherri Martel pinned Madusa Miceli to retain the AWA World Women's Championship
• Curt Hennig pinned Nick Bockwinkel to win the AWA World Heavyweight Championship
• The Midnight Rockers (Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty) and Ray Stevens defeated Buddy Rose, Doug Somers and Kevin Kelly
• Jerry Blackwell pinned Boris Zhukov
• Jimmy Snuka and Russ Francis defeated The Terrorist (Brian Knobs) and The Mercenary (Ron Fuller)

SuperClash III

SuperClash III was held on December 13, 1988 from the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois. It was the third annual SuperClash event produced by the American Wrestling Association and the first and only AWA show to be broadcast on pay-per-view. The Texas-based World Class Wrestling Association (formerly known as "World Class Championship Wrestling"), women wrestling promotion Powerful Women of Wrestling, and Memphis-based Championship Wrestling Association also provided talent for the show.

The show was not a financial success and soon after the WCWA was bought out by Jerry Lawler and Jerry Jarrett and merged with the CWA to become the United States Wrestling Association (USWA).

The PPV was built around talent from the AWA, WCWA, PWOW, CWA and others.

• Chavo Guerrero, Mando Guerrero, and Hector Guerrero defeated Cactus Jack and The Rock 'n' Roll RPMs (Mike Davis and Tommy Lane) (6:35)^[1]
  • Chavo pinned Lane after a moonsault.
• Eric Embry defeated Jeff Jarrett to win the WCWA World Light Heavyweight Championship (4:13)^[1]
  • Embry pinned Jarrett.
• Jimmy Valiant defeated Wayne Bloom (0:24)^[1]
  • Valiant pinned Bloom.
• Iceman King Parsons defeated Brickhouse Brown to retain the WCWA Texas Heavyweight Championship (5:41)^[1]
  • Parsons pinned Brown.
• The Top Guns (Ricky Rice and Derrick Dukes) and Wendi Richter defeated Badd Company (Paul Diamond and Pat Tanaka) and Madusa Miceli (w/Diamond Dallas Page) in a Mixed Tag Team match (5:43)^[1]
  • Richter pinned Micelli.
• Greg Gagne defeated Ron Garvin to win the AWA International Television Championship (5:52)^[1]
  • Garvin was counted-out, the match was for the vacant championship and could be awarded by count out.^[1]
• Pali The Syrian Terrorist won a Lingerie Battle Royal (8:36)^[1]
  • Also featured Bambi, Peggy Lee Leather, Laurie Lynn, Brandi Mae, Malibu, Nina, Pocohantas and Luna Vachon.
• Sgt. Slaughter defeated Col. DeBeers in a Boot Camp match^[1]
  • After the match The Iron Sheik attacked Slaughter.
• The Samoan Swat Team (Samu and Fatu) (w/Buddy Roberts) defeated Michael Hayes and Steve Cox to retain the WCWA World Tag Team Championship (7:53)^[1]
  • Samu pinned Hayes.
• Wahoo McDaniel defeated Manny Fernandez in an Indian Strap match (7:48)^[1]
• AWA World Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lawler defeated WCWA World Heavyweight Champion Kerry Von Erich in a Title Unification match (18:53)^[1]
  • Referee Marty Miller stopped the match due to Von Erich's excessive bleeding.
  • This match was to unify the AWA and WCWA Titles.
• The Rock 'n' Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) fought The Stud Stable (Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden) to a double disqualification (7:03)^[1]

SuperClash 4

SuperClash 4 was held at the St. Paul Civic Center in St. Paul, Minnesota on April 8, 1990.
