Sunrise Radio Group

Sunrise Radio Group Limited is a UK radio broadcaster (chairman Avtar Lit), and runs Sunrise Radio, Yarr Radio, Kismat Radio and Punjabi Radio. The company also owns London Media Company Limited.[1]

It also owns 33% of Sunrise Radio Yorkshire, and 60% of Palm 105.5.

Former stations

Both South London Radio 107.3 and Time 106.8 ceased broadcasting after they were sold on 22 February 2009, but the new buyer could not afford to run the stations.[2] Sunrise also formerly owned 65% of Radio Plymouth, but this was sold in March 2013. http://radiotoday.co.uk/2013/03/sunrise-sells-shares-in-radio-plymouth/

Controversies

The company has recently come under investigation for allegedly delaying in passing on £160,000 raised for the Pakistan earthquake in 2005 and the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004.[3]
