Sunitha Varma is an Indian film actress who works in the South Indian film industries. Born into a Telugu-speaking family, she hails from the lineage of Alluri Sita Rama Raju.[5] She has been appearing in feature films in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam and Kannada languaged for over a decade, since her debut in Neevente Nuventa (2000). She is known by different stage names in the various film industries.[2][3][4]
Career
She made her debut in Tamil cinema as Janapriya in the 2005 film Oru Murai Solli Vidu,[4] which went unnoticed.[6] She again reverted to her original name and acted in further Tamil films including the crime thriller 6'2 opposite Sathyaraj,[7] and the experimental film Iruvar Mattum which features only two characters.[8][9]
She changed her name to Radha Varma and made her Malayalam film debut by starring with Dileep in the successful 2008 comedy film Crazy Gopalan.[10] She acted as lead in Dr. Patient alongside Jayasurya and Mukesh. Her most recent release is newcomer Vaishakh's Seniors which released on 7 May 2011 and became successful. She starred as Manoj K. Jayan's wife Fathima alias "Paathumma".
