Pandit Suman Ghosh is an Indian classical vocalist.[1]

Early life

Suman Ghosh began training at the age of 7 under the guidance of his mother Monika Ghosh. Later he trained under the maestros like Pandit Shrikant Bakre, Padmabhushan Pandit Jnan Prakash Ghosh, and finally, the living legend of Indian music, Padma-vibhushan Pandit Jasraj.

Career

Suman Ghosh started his concerts by 16. He also performed at the annual music festival, Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroh, organised by Pandit Jasraj. Pandit Ghosh then taught at Pandit Jasraj's School of Music branch in Tampa, Florida. He then proceeded and started his own school in Houston,Texas. Pandit Ghosh currently teaches in Sugar Land and the Woodlands

Awards and recognition

In 2008, Pandit Jasraj bestowed the title of Acharya Varishtha.
