Sultanate of Dara

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sultanate of Dara was a Muslim sultanate located in the far south of Ethiopia in modern Sidama Zone, where there is still a woreda that bears the name Dara. Dara was too distant to be threatened by invasion from Abyssinia but it was the first Sultanate to fall to the Oromo migrations.
