Sulejman Smajić (born 25 June 1984 in Jajce, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Bosnian footballer who plays as a winger for FK Željezničar Sarajevo and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Career

Smajić is a very creative midfielder whose career began in Iskra Bugojno, there he was spotted by Zrinjski Mostar and was transferred to NK Iskra in 2004 on loan.[1] In his first season at the club, they managed to win the championship title in the Bosnian Premier League and joined after five years on seniorside with HŠK Zrinjski Mostar to FCV Dender in summer 2008.[2] On 7 July 2009 K.S.C. Lokeren Oost-Vlaanderen have signed the Bosnian midfielder from FCV Dender on a three-year deal. 2011 Smajić had signed for Bosnian side cup winners FK Zeljeznicar[3]

International

He has played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team and the Under-21 team.[4]
