Stureby

Stureby is a residential area in southern Stockholm, approx. 4 kilometers from Skanstull. The district is bordered on the other by Örby, Örby slott, Bandhagen, Gubbängen, Svedmyra, Gamla Enskede and Årstafältet. The construction of Stureby started in the 1920s and was named after Sten Sture the Younger.
The Stureby outdoor metro station was first opened in 1951 but expanded in 1953.
