Stump Evans

Paul "Stump" Evans (18 October 1904 – 29 August 1928) was an American jazz saxophonist. Evans reportedly died of tuberculosis at age 24.

Although he played on many different sizes of saxophone and with many famous jazz musicians of the time, including Jelly Roll Morton and Kid Ory, Evans is most famous for playing C melody saxophone with King Oliver in King Oliver's Jazz Band.
