Professor Stuart N. McCutcheon, BAgrSc(Hons) PhD Massey is the current Vice-Chancellor of The University of Auckland, New Zealand's leading University. Prior to this engagement, Professor McCutcheon held the positions of Vice-Chancellor at Victoria University of Wellington, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research) at Massey University. In 2012, he was named as the top paid public sector boss in New Zealand, earning between $630,000 and $639,000 per annum - over $100,000 more than similar roles at other New Zealand universities.[1] [2]"

Education

Professor McCutcheon was educated at Massey University where he graduated a BAgrSc (Hons) in 1976 before being appointed a lecturer whilst undertaking a PhD in metabolic physiology.
