Stornarella is a town and comune in the province of Foggia in the Apulia region the southeast of Italy. Lovely multicultural village in the heart of the big plains of Tavoliere delle Puglie, it inhabits ca. 5000 Stornarellesi by right of birth or welcomed by the natives. Stornarella was founded by the Gesuits at the beginning of the 17th century, and from that moment on it has continuously flourished thanks to its natural resources. Durum wheat, wine, vegetables and extra-virgin olive oil are the pillars of Stornarella's economy. Sowing and harvesting the core produce beats the time and seasons. On 1 May 2008, Stornarella celebrated 200 years as a municipality.
