Storforshei is a village in the Dunderlandsdal valley in the municipality of Rana in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northeast of the town of Mo i Rana. The 0.65-square-kilometre (160-acre) village has a population (2011) of 646. The population density is 994 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,570 /sq mi).[1] The village is located along the river Ranelva. The European route E06 highway and the Nordlandsbanen railway line both pass through the village.[3]
