Stigma (Irish band)

Stigma are a Punk, Metal and Rock influenced band from Dublin, Ireland. Combining Influences of The Ramones, Agnostic Front, Motörhead, The Who, New Model Army and Thin Lizzy they created a unique sound. Formed in 1992 from ex-members of Sdestiny, Rapine Idolatry, Forever, The Bloodstones and The Rasher Tierney Experience. They combined catchy songs with the energy of Punk and Metal riffs. They self released a CD The Freedom E.P. in December 1992. It was the first independent CD release to gain daytime airplay on 2FM Ireland's national broadcaster thanks to Larry Gogan.
