Geography
Stevensweert is a village in the Dutch province Limburg. It is located in the municipality of Maasgouw. It lies on the right board of the river Meuse, which forms the limit with Belgium Kessenich. There was also a ferry to this village.
History
Together with Ohé en Laak, Stevensweert lied a long time on an isle in the Meuse. The Spanish built a fortress in the Eighty Years War, which is still remarkable in the street patron. Stevensweert belonged to the county of Guelders.
