Stevens Rock

Stevens Rock (67°37′S 64°42′E / 67.617°S 64.700°E / -67.617; 64.700Coordinates: 67°37′S 64°42′E / 67.617°S 64.700°E / -67.617; 64.700) is a small, lone bare rock 1.5 nautical miles (2.8 km) east of Strahan Glacier and 1 nautical mile (1.9 km) off the coast. Discovered in February 1931 by the British Australian New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (BANZARE) under Mawson, who named it for Commander C.W. Stevens, Hydrographic Dept., Royal Australian Navy.
