Steven James Meo (born 1977) is a Welsh television actor. He is known for playing Dwayne Hoffman in BBC Wales sitcom High Hopes (2002-8), Grant in the BBC Three show Grownups (2006-9), and Owen in the BBC Wales drama series Belonging (1999-2009). He is also well known for playing the role of Owain Hughes in the third series of Gavin & Stacey, in which an inside joke, which incidentally meant nothing confused the viewers of the show. He appeared as Josh in the Torchwood episode Random Shoes (2006), and participated in The Big Welsh Challenge on BBC Wales.[1]

Biography

Steven James Meo was born in 1977 in Swansea, in south Wales. He attended Maesydderwen Comprehensive School in Ystradgynlais in the Swansea Valley, in the year above actress Eve Myles.[2] Afterwards he trained in Cardiff at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Steven got engaged to actress Eleanor Howell in New York in 2010, and they were married in Tetbury in 2012.
