Steve Fanara (born August 30, 1966) is the former head football coach for the Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets located in Brownwood, Texas. He was named to that position following the 2007 season to become the 20th football coach at the school. Before being named to the post, he was the defensive coordinator at Howard Payne under the previous head coach, Mike Redwine.[1]
Personal life
Fanara earned his bachelor's degree at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, where he played football for two seasons before beginning his coaching career as a student assistant. Fanara also holds a Masters degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University. Steve and his family reside in Brownwood.
