Stephenson High School is a public school located in DeKalb County, Georgia. The school is located in the city of Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Stephenson High School, located in historic Stone Mountain, opened in 1996. The campus consists of a five-acre facility, located on forty acres. With an enrollment of 1835, Stephenson High is one of the largest of DeKalb County School System’s twenty-one high schools. With a six-member administrative team, and a bunch of 134 teachers. Dress Code, including Tuck and Pull, is strictly enforced.

Unique Assets
Theatre SHS has a 500-seat theatre that is equipped with two full-size dressing rooms, computer-operated lights and backdrops, an orchestra pit with hydraulic lift, and a catwalk. The Atlanta Theatre Organ Society donated and installed a Page Organ with full piping. Stephenson is one of three schools in the country to house such an organ, and will continue to use it for student musicals and concerts.

Outdoor Classroom Students may study horticulture, landscaping, and botany in this interactive Education/Outdoor Classroom that provides hands-on learning and instruction. The classroom includes a waterfall, two green houses, benches, and tables. A park located within walking distance of the campus also gives math and science teachers the opportunity to provide interdisciplinary instruction.

Broadcast and Media Production Curriculum and Lab Students practice what they learn in class through three hands-on program components: JAG 8 News, the television voice of Stephenson High; Jaguar Enterprises, which contracts to shoot, edit and produce programs for interested community members; and Jaguar Records, a recording label.
