Stephen Riady, is one of the children of Mochtar Riady, founder of Lippo Group.

About

Stephen Riady was appointed Executive Chairman of Overseas Union Enterprise (OUE) on 9 March 2010. He had served as Executive Director since 30 November 2006. He was last re-elected as a Director at the Annual General Meeting held on 28 April 2011.

Riady is also an Executive Director of Lippo Limited and has been its Chairman since 1991.

He was appointed a Director of Lippo China Resources Limited in 1992. On 25 March 2011, he resigned as Deputy Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Lippo China Resources Limited and has been appointed as its Chairman.

He has been an Executive Director of Hongkong Chinese Limited since 1992 and on 25 March 2011, he resigned as its Chief Executive Officer and has been appointed as its Chairman.

Riady is also a member of the Remuneration Committee and Nomination Committee of each of Lippo Limited, Lippo China Resources Limited and Hongkong Chinese Limited. Lippo Limited, Lippo China Resources Limited and Hongkong Chinese Limited are companies listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.

He was also appointed a Director of Auric Pacific Group Limited, a company listed in Singapore, in 1997. He assumed the role of Group Managing Director of Auric Pacific Group Limited with effect from May 1999 to February 2006 and has since served as Executive Director of Auric Pacific Group Limited since 2006. He is a member of the Nomination Committee.

On public service, Riady was an Hong Kong Affairs Advisor from April 1995 to June 1997 appointed by the Hong Kong and Macao Office, the People’s Republic of China’s State Council and Xinhua News Agency, Hong Kong Branch. In addition, he is a member of the Committee to Promote Economic Co-operation between Fujian and Hong Kong, a committee established by the Provincial Government of Fujian, PRC. [1]

Education

Riady is a graduate of the University of Southern California, United States of America and holds a Master Degree of Business Administration from Golden Gate University, United States of America. He was conferred an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Business Administration from Napier University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom, and is one of the first Honorary University Fellows installed by the [[Hong Kong Baptist University]].[3]

Philantropy

Stephen Riady makes $25 million gift to NUS (National University of Singapore - Yale University)

Prominent businessman and Indonesian tycoon Stephen Riady has donated $25 million to NUS. The chairman of the OUE (Overseas Union Enterprise) Group is a firm believer in a liberal arts education. The donation comes from the Stephen Riady Group of Foundations, which was launched at the Credit Suisse Philanthropists Forum 2012, and will support University Town and [4]-NUS College.
